Please Appreciate HER ....

Tomorrow you may propose a working woman,but you should marry with these facts firmly grounded inyour mind........

Here is a girl, who is as much educated as you are;who is earning almost as much as you do;

One, who has dreams and aspirations just as you havebecause she is as human as you are;

One, who has never entered the kitchen in her life justlike you or your Sister haven't, as she was busy in studies and competing in a system that gives no special concession to girls for their culinary achievements.

One, who has lived and loved her parents & brothers & sisters, almost as much as you do for 20-25 years of her life;

One, who has bravely agreed to leave behind all that,her home, people who love her, to adopt your home, your family, your ways and even your family name,

One, who is somehow expected to be a master-chef fromday #1, while you sleep oblivious to her predicament in her new circumstances, environment and that kitchen.

One, who is expected to make tea, first thing in the morning and cook food at the end of the day, even if she is as tired as you are, maybe more,

and yet never ever expected to complain; when to be a servant, a cook, a mother,a wife;

and knows that you won't like it if she is too demanding, or if she learns faster than you;

One, who has her own set of friends, and that includes boys and even men at her workplace too, those, who she knows from school days and yet is willing to put all that on the back-burners to avoid your irrational jealousy,unnecessary competition and your inherent insecurities;

Yes, she can drink and dance just as well as you can,but won't, simplybecause you won't like it, even though you may chose to do otherwise.

One, who can be late from work once in a while when deadlines, just like yours, are to be met;

One, who is doing her level best and wants to make this most important relationship in her entire life a grand success, if you just help her some and trust her;

One, who just wants one thing from you, as you are the only one she knows in your entire house - Your unstinted support, Your sensitivities and most importantly - Your understanding, or love, if you may call it.

But not many guys understand this......
Please appreciate "HER"

yup it depends, like if you propose a working lady and a person who has friends and who drinks and all then u must be prepared for all this. I mean if u don't want all these things then better select someone who hates all these as much as u do:). If you don't want all these then select a homely girl as ur spouse but DON'T MARRY SOMEONE EXPECTING THEM TO CHANGE AFTERWARDS SO BETTER CHOOSE RIGHTLY OR STATE UR DEMANDS RIGHT BEFORE WEDDING AND IF ITS MUTUALLY POSSIBLE TO AGREE ON THOSE THEN ONLY GO FORWARD.ITS NOT A MATTER OF APPRECIATION BUT A MATTER OF COMPATIBILITY. SOMETHINGS WE LIKE N APPRECIATE BUT IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT WE LIKE OUR WIVES OR HUBBIES TO BE SO:D. For eg. some parent may like certain military hero who has got param vir chakra in war but they don't want their son to be a soldier for the fear of losing him. take care.:)--COCONUT.

hmm..interesting but u caught off wid one line it ws like precaution to avoid the situation :P

the essence of the poem want exactly abt whether one shd take a wise decision abt marriage b4 it ...it ws more abt adaptability it speaks volume of how one is willing to change oneself for the other even though she isnt sure she wud get rewards of them anyway still somehow or other she is wiling to change it all :)

anywz the best point that i liked up in the comment was SOMETHINGS WE LIKE N APPRECIATE BUT IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT WE LIKE OUR WIVES OR HUBBIES TO BE SO:D :)
nice one
wud say it food for thought some things just dont need preaching :D best for others to understand :)

Women are now learning to empower themselves.Compromising on self-esteem is certainly not a girl should do,I don't.However,adjustments are necessary and perhaps for both partners.It is my father who makes morning tea and trust me from the day i gained senses I have never seen DAD give a scorn look to Mom because of this.My uncle is a better cook than my aunt and doesn't mind cooking when aunt is not in mood or tired.Men must endure certain things as Women have been enduring since time immemorial.We need not beg appreciation,we know we deserve that because living the life of a woman is not for the faint hearted.Change is the only thing that is constant.So with changing levels of education rights and democracy I think social justice and conjugal fairness is important too.Lets refrain from chalking out duties to one another..saying this is your job and duty and thats mine! Women do not have to give up anything to get something else.Even after their marriage,they are still daughters to their parents....

Hi sayani,

You are so right women should not compromise on their self esteem .. running any household is no less than running an organization and every woman who does that needs that importance. In fact not only women but nobody irrespective of who you are man or woman should not compromise on their self esteem. Seld esteem is born out of sheer love for oneself and love for the work you do ..

What happens is Most Indian women ridicule themselves they do not understand that each time they cook or help their family they do a big achievement in their own sense. Women think if only they move out for work, ridicule men, earn big salary achieve big in materialistic terms then they win else they lose. This thought over and over the time had brought the fact that "Ladkiyaan hain ye kya karengi".

Sense of pride should come neutrally without hating men rather should come from loving your work. If we keep putting hatred for men as a source of achievement or happiness a time will come when we would feel empty from within. Because from generations physical power was given an upper hand over love and affection. We women should prove that WE DO NOT SELF PITY OURSELVES.. WE DO NOT NEED MEN TELLING US IF WE ARE LOSERS OR WINNERS. and WE should know we love ourselves no matter what job or work we do we are proud to hold love and care in our hearts :)

Family is a mutual thin it should be run without making anybody feel low respect is mutual what goes comes around :)

Sorry for long answer :P hope you have the patience to read it full :)

Thanks Sayani for your lovely comment.

P.S even my father makes morning tea :) with smile on his face :) that's what you call love :)
