Why memories hold our hands??

Little girl and her father were crossing a bridge.
The father was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter,
"Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river."
The little girl said, "No, Dad. You hold my hand."
"What's the difference?" Asked the puzzled father.
"There's a big difference," replied the little girl.

"If I hold your hand and something happens to me,
chances are that I may let your hand go.
But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens,
you will never let my hand go."

In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind, but in its bond.

So hold the hand of the person who loves you rather than expecting them to hold yours...
This message is too short......but carries a lot of Feelings.
A point to ponder why relationships hold our hands its becauase we want them to be safe :)

TOO GUD.... BUT I JUST HOPE THAT LITTLE GIRL REMEMBERS ALL THESE AND HOLDS THE HANDS OF HER FATHER MANY YEARS LATER WHEN HE WILL BE UNABLE TO WALK ON HIS OWN DUE TO OLD AGE:)AND JUST NOT BE TOO INVOLVED IN HER OWN LIFE N FUTURE FAMILY THAT SHE HAS NO TIME FOR HIM:).UFF GOING TOWARDS MELODRAMA BUT THIS IS TRUE, NOWADAYS MANY KEEP FRIENDSHIP/LOVE/AFFECTION WHEN THEY REQUIRE HELP OR PROTECTION AND WHEN ITS THE OPPOSITE WAY THEY DON'T REMEMBER THOSE FRIENDS/FAMILY WHO HELPED THEM OR CARED FOR THEM ONCE:( BUT ARE ENGROSSED AT THE PRESENT TIME WITH THOSE WHO CAN PROVIDE THEM WITH SAFETY, STABILITY AND CARE AT THAT POINT OF TIME:(. MAY BE THIS IS QUITE IRREVALENT TO THE POST BUT YEAH MEMORIES CAN BE PAINFUL AS WELL AS ONES FILLED WITH HAPPINESS BUT THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT THEY DO HOLD OUR HANDS:).

Juz read this story somewhere n remembered ur blog:). So juz wanna post this over here.

An 80 year old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his wife & his 45 years old highly educated son. Suddenly a crow perched on their window. The old man was low on memory and was having difficulty remembering things due to his age n sum illness.

The Father asked his Son, What is this?

The Son replied It is a crow.

After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd time,What is this?

The Son said Father, I have just now told you It's a crow.

After a little while, the old Father again asked his Son the 3rd time,

What is this?

At this time some ex-pression of irritation was felt in the Son's tone when he said to his Father with a rebuff. It's a crow, a crow.

A little after, the Father again asked his Son t he 4th time,What is this?

This time the Son shouted at his Father, Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again, although I have told you so many times ˜IT IS A CROW. Are you not able to understand this?

Hearing all this, his mom went into her room and a little later came back with an old tattered diary, which the old man had maintained since his Son was born. On opening a page, she asked the Son to read that page. When the son read it, the following words were written in the diary :-

Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window. My Son asked me 23 times what it was, and I replied to him all 23 times that it was a Crow. I hugged him lovingly each time he asked me the same question again and again for 23 times. I did not at all feel irritated I rather felt affection for my innocent child.

While the little child asked him 23 times What is this, the Father had felt no irritation in replying to the same question all 23 times and when today the Father asked his Son the same question just 4 times, the Son felt irritated and annoyed.

So..

If your parents attain old age, do not repulse them or look at them as a burden, but speak to them a gracious word, be cool, obedient, humble and kind to them. Be considerate to your parents. From today say this aloud, I want to see my parents happy forever. They have cared for me ever since I was a little child. They have always showered their selfless love on me.

They crossed all mountains and valleys without seeing the storm and heat to make me a person presentable in the society today.

Say a prayer to God, I will serve my old parents in the BEST way. I will say all good and kind words to my dear parents, no matter how they behave.
===COCONUT.

honestly i wish more ppl can hav patience to deal wid our older generation. Infact a few days ago my mom ws sharing something very similar to this as how we shd hav patience to listen to our elders bz most often we rnt used to listening their kind of explaination so we need time to absorb their words wid more patience :)
Well if some of us can wait for our friends in some shopping mall or movie or resturant i wish they can wait n reflect b4 they speak .....
