DoorDarshan National - Proud 50 years

ahh the good old days of Doordarshan :) started at 1959 with a splice of black and white , tinge of entertainment its covered 50 BIG years now ... those days after partition Doordarshan was probably the only mass media communication after newspapers and radio that hit the people and enlighted their spirits. It was a new experience of actually seeing moveable objects on TV though TV sets were very rare those days but still one small step is something that led to a massive revolution a concept that took par boom effect on future, even though i have not really been a part of whole doordarshan era because in the 1990's onwards many commercial channels had begun still i guess it was a time where Doordarshan held the monopoly for being the oldest channel of NATION.

I feel nostalgic but there were so many wonderfull programmes for which we had to wait whole week just wanting to know what would happen next infact i still remember when first we heard that some serials were to be aired almost 5 days a week we were thrilled thinking how easy it would be to know what would happen next , but who knew that these new serials with each aired episode would lower its dignity concept responsibility just for TRP's ....



I know Doordarshan has been boring for some and yes today even i dont watch Doordarshan but the era in he 70's and 80's probably saw the best of the writers and directors of serials those were reality check serials unlike todays relity shows...
shows like Humlog, Buniyad,Byomkesh Bakshi, Fatichar,Turning Point, Ye Jo Hai Zindagi, Nukkad and Dekh Bhai Dekh, ‘Rangoli’ and ‘Chitrahaar’ and ofcourse Ramayan and Mahabharata and My favourite Mougli, Surabhi, Malgudi days :D days were fabulous...

there shall never be days like those back again, its awfull to see that a National channel has to struggle so much but atleast for some good sense like earlier doordarshan air'ed serials which were MORE INFORMATIVE THAN HIGHER TRP'S ..atleast it was better than the maddening business for which most private channels fight .......

I miss that simple life style ... life will never turn its wheel back to the ideology of " Simple Living High Thinking "

Birbal Explaination

Problem

The Emperor once saw a woman hugging and kissing a child who did not look particularly appealing. The Emperor expressed surprise that a woman could lavish so much love on such an unattractive child.

When asked Birbal he said "Thats because its her own child, to a mother her child is always beautiful."

But the Emperor was not satisfied with the explaination.

Birbal's Solution :

The next day Birbal called a guard and in the Emperor's presense asked him to bring in the most beautiful child to the palace.

The following day the guard came to the palace with a small boy with buck teeth,  hair that stood like porcupine quills and hesitantly pushed him in front of the Emperor.

"T- The most beautiful child, Your Majesty," he stammered.

"How do you know its beautiful?" asked the Emperor.

"My wife, his mother said so , " afraid replied the guard.

Moral :

There's no arguing with a Mother's love. It is consistent and unshakable;nothing can supress it - neither the child's looks nor others opinion about the child.

There's much to learn from this exemplary love - if we could be half as consistent in our relatioships, our dealings with our loved one's we could can be much more happier.

This story teaches us that each and everyone of us is special in some way or the other.

What Men want from their Women

Some long days back when i wrote down the article about what girls want? One of my friends pressed me to write about what men want...and there after lot of girls felt the same.  So, so long i really dint get any time to implement her request but this time I’m putting down some quick perks on What Men

Want from their Women....

 

There's always some or other way to enhance a relationship and make sure it never goes dead keeping it alive is in our hands so just like girls have lotsss of expectation from their guys, guys too have some expectations from their girls. Now whatever points I could think of is actually a culmination to make happier relationships for those “ who wish not to be single anymore " , " in the making (gf n bf) " & " already made & settled (husband n wife) "....

 

Well I would go on and on in preaching. So Let's get the ball rolling ...

 

1) Dress Smart - "1st Look stage"

 

Looking is believing what you are. Its the 1st impression one would have for you. SO, See who you are before you chose to dress, Dress what you are most comfortable in DONT WEAR WHATS IN FASHION when YOU CANT HANDLE IT.... it shows in how you behave and handle that dress.

You need not wear a skirt if everybody is wearing it, if not comfortable make out a bold statement and wear what you feel good at. And ya make sure the Dress does not dangle out of your shape(if you are fat do not wear too skimpy dress) and chose colours according to occasion. When you do that reflects on your face makes you more confident.

For eg if you are not habituated of wearing salwaar kameez and you feel more comfti with a pair of jeans and T , wear that ....chosing to wear to suit and then getting disbalanced with your dupatta, catching it everytime when it falls off looks eye bustling. Anyways the same goes other way round so in

short WEAR SMART and what is comfortable. This way you stay on mark atleast if your Perfect Man Does not give you an A+ he will atleast begin noticing this New confident and different woman.

 

2) Talk Less But Dont Talk Stupid -  "hi hello beginning stage"

hmm , hunting for a perfect man? Then why not begin with being perfect yourself?? have you ever visualised YOUR so called PERFECT MAN talking stupid things giving silly opinions and reasonings talking hopelessly and uselessly when not required?? When uninvited?? Laughing Loud with grunts and hiccups? If No then why do the same ??

 

If you think you can do all this and an Intelligent Man will ignore this then you are wrong....

There's some basic sense and sensibility everybody desires from his or her partner , I mean you need not be a genious and know everything but you need not show everybody that. If you really honestly dont know about something accept that Don’t FAKE by talking stupid senseless things when you have no clue about what you are speaking. That way you lose the respect of a man in the 1st look itself and you seem to be like an attention crazy person then for Your Perfect Man you are a complete BIG NO NO….

 

3) Let Actions talk more than words - "Talks Begin"

 

 Till now we saw was what you could do to get that 1st look impression around your man, now comes the next step TALKING ... Like I said before dont show off, be original and just be yourself but ya dont be silly :)

 

See honesty shows on face and actions, for eg if you are not an animal lover but your perfect man is then please for heavens sake dont try and pretend " ohhh how much I love animals you know " its artificial and trust me you would be caught, If not today then later but you would be caught for sure.Let your actions talk, have basic etiquettes, talk softly and if you dont know something then listen, men appreciate when you yearn to listen to them, want to share what they have to talk about. So get these soft finess in you and you have the 1st ever attention moment from your Perfect man :)

 

 

4) Stick to Your Opinions - " Sharing views "

 

This is the stage where you begin talking and knowing each other, where two people eventually come to know about each others values thoughts ideas and opinions about different things. As much as I understand if you are a girl who keeps changing her opinion every now and then about anything, and keep changing them frequently without a solid reason logic and explaination  You would be termed as Unstable and not somebody who could be banked upon in terms of Sharing things.

 That doesn’t mean Don’t change opinions even when you feel like, its just that dont be adamant change opinions and thoughts when you have a reason to something that sounds valid , but keep some things firm and keep hold on your emotions dont see everything and anything and change your opinions according to whatever is on in front of you. That will make your Man respect you for what you are.

 

 

5) Trust - " Liking each other "

 

The witness to the entrance of a relationship is beginning to trust each other. But before you do that make sure your partner is worth being trusted, in this so so bad world where you just cannot trust up any tom dick or harry, its becomes even more important to know if your partner should be trusted for this most women believe in their gut feeling so slow down and put up a check test of your own to know how genuine he is, go ahead with a relationship ONLY AND ONLY when you are 100% sure of him.

 

 Once that is done dont keep doubting him all the time about his intentions his feelings etc etc because remember " YOU TESTED AND VERIFIED THE PERSON YOURSELF "  so its not his fault of how he is you have to and have to accept him as he is ....dont suspect him everytime he gets late for  a date or forgets to call you at night .... because when you have already verified the person and then doubt him, it makes him feel like " YOU ARE SO UNPREDICTABLE" and that he's not in a good relationship. Because always for a Man

it becomes very essential that EVEN IF THE WORLD DOESNT TRUST HIM AND DOESNT UNDERSTAND HIM HIS GIRL TRULY TRUSTS HIM....buddy you are supposed to be his strenght and esp. when you yourself have given his a 100% pass result there's no point doubting him now :) this is a Guru mantra girls it always touches a man's heart. And when you be with him through Good and Bad times trust me he too will be there for you at any time good or bad , day or night.. He will love you immensely.

 

 

6) No Guess game - " Smooth relationship time "

 

Men are really bad at guessing work :) and its true :) dont make him guess what’s on your mind ... even if you want him to guess keep the guessing period short rather very short :P Men do not understand the language that goes around beating the bush even if your man knows all your choices very very well, he will take time knowing what you are hinting him at. Its bad I know most women expect men to understand their hints and act according to that but that unfortunately doesnt happen they are rather frank and want you to act that way.

BUT MIND YOU there's difference between being mysterious and playing guess game.... I know many people would tell you to act mysterious so that men are interested in you but it need not mean that you have to ask your bf  " ok guess whats on my mind " ....

Being mysterious is attributed to Being Feminine for eg Cleopatra had an amazing aura around herself with her looks her actions she was so feminine that Men desired to know what she was how she felt about things etc its like arosing a feeling of curiosity .... playing the guess game is different its like you yourself are pressing your bf to the edge of frustration. A short time period of guessing will make you mysterious but a longer one will make you a BORE BORE WOMAN....

 

for eg Mysterious - is telling your bf  " I will wear something really sensuous for our date tonight "

 Guess Game - is telling him " Guess what i will wear tonight "

Got the difference ??

 

 

7) Be Honest But Not Blunt - " Keeping relationship stable "

 

How would you like if your Man comes to you and says " Yuk!! you look really bad in this dress " and how would the same thing with sweeter tone do " Why dont you try something in Pink suits you more than Green " thats chivalry ?? hmm i feel thats like handling a situation well.... Just like you even Men have feelings they like Women who talk straight but their want their sweeties to talk good too. Treat them as humans they too like being praised for what they do for you. Even if it is something as small as like holding your shopping bags :) and why shouldnt they ??

They want you to know that they do all this for you because they love you.... an act of appreciation never hurts .... even if you dont like something you have some disagreements talk it out in softer terms

DONT talk TOO much ONE single clear line is enough to tell him you dont agree with him .... always know that the number of times you repeat your argument THE PATIENCE OF A MAN DECREASES TO LISTEN AND UNDERSTAND YOU (inversely propotional) :) its a fact. So act accordingly.

 

 

8) Be Humourous and witty - " Increasing Bonding "

 

Dont always expect that Your Man will keep making you laugh and keep you happy even you can do the reverse it keeps the fun alive in the relationship. Sometimes even they feel dull and lifeless so go ahead do something different take his role and make him laugh without going serious you would see how your relationship takes a twist and reaches to a different level. Share some light and happy moments in company of each other.

 

 Men appreciate Women who have a tinge of funny bone in themselves makes you a  diverse personality something that separates you from other girls. Try it!!

 

 

9) Take a Break - " Sharing Space "

 

Just like you have Friends and you need some personal space to think and know about your career studies family etc he too needs that .... he has his time where he would simply want to hang out with his group of friends and might not really need you there. So understand and respect that, respect the fact that he's working and you shouldnt be disturbing him now, that he's out with his friends and they are his friends long before you became his gf and that sometimes he will just not wish to talk to you , it doesnt mean you have to get psyco and buzz him up every time and say " why you arent talking to me " " you dont have time for me these days " etc rather take a break and wrap up your work and tell him that there may be times that even you might feel like doing the same. He will Respect your decision. So you give him his space and he will give you your space :) So both happy.

 

 

 

I hope i have covered up every stage.You need to know at what stage you are in what situation you are in and act accordingly. Hope all these points have covered up whatever you wanted me to talk about. Even Men can let me know if I am right or wrong somewhere most welcome :) after all the analysis was about you guys ...

Trouble Sleeping

Insomnia is chronic sleeplessness is a continuous phenomenon....But most of us have trouble falling asleep; and even if we do, we have trouble getting quality sleep; again, even if we do get this, we have trouble waking up in the morning! Now can you identify with any of the situations? I am sure you do. 

There's this insight of Osho that i read somewhere so sharing this with you .......

Osho says, “The first thing in the day sets the trend, and the last thing in the night also sets the trend.”

1. Awareness – it takes a few moments for us to sleep. In those few moments and till the time you fall asleep, be very aware: of the silence around you, your body, its positioning and of the darkness.

I you continue with this to the last moment you will notice that the first thought in the morning will also be of awareness. (Your last thought before you go to sleep is the first thought when you wake up. That is why, often, when we have a question that needs answering to, we are advised to sleep over it.)

2. Watch - In the morning, when you wake up, don’t open your eyes immediately. Watch the life energies awakening inside you.

Then, stretch your body like a cat for 3 minutes with closed eyes. Look at the body from within. Feel the energy flowing. Make it 5 minutes if you enjoy it.

Then laugh out loud like a madman with closed eyes. (do not be afraid what others will say. Laugh and help them to laugh.)

(Make sure your eyes are closed throughout).

Sleep will leave you. You will wake up fresh, joyful. No spiraling and tumbling out of the bed. Instead, there will be a spring in your steps and a smile on your face.

Notice your new energy! Your days are going to be different! ‘You’ are going to be different!

Flower Of LOVE - SunFlower

Sunflowers are my personal favourite flowers , I mean not that i hate any other flower but I have always had a strong urge for the bright and beautiful lovely Sunflowers ...... 

For I presume Sunflower is  "She" Bright and Confident, Soft and yet so Innocent young lady an

   Sun being the mightier Beloved is "He" and then begins their LOVE STORY ...this is Honestly the most romantic story for centuries, sometimes so visible and sometimes not, see it realize it and you would kw what it means...... 

             

               Just the other night i was out for a walk after dinner with my mom, and saw this beautiful Sunflower in my own garden gazing at the hallozen light on street and admiring its resemblence with its lover Sun. That made me wonder and realize "Why is Rose the flower tat represents love??"

bz at the end of the day Sunflower's passes every test of being the mark for a true beloved.

Admiration and Dedication when it looks at Sun for hours seeming so smiley and happy admiring every bit of Sun's warmth

Respect for it knows what value Sun is to her 

Sacrifice she gives up everything to be with her Sun stands erect in the most upright branch of her tree and gazes him tirelessly 

Trust bz she knows that Sun knows whats best for her having faith on him that he will chose the best of his warmth to shower on her 

                        Each of them so beautifully woven into Sunflower that it should honestly be the Flower of Love ...

In Today's world where values feelings  honesty  purity is missing and becoming meaningless in everybody's life Sunflower's are so bright an example to remind you and me of 

" what really love should be like "

and for them "Love is TRULY Life"

They Live (food based) on Sun ,For Sun and strongly Flaunt it off to the world seeming to say " look at me I am madly in love with my Sun "....... sounds childish ?? to me it sounds valid and Romantic :)

I wonder if people today really love their beloved in true sense i mean its not important to build Taj Mahal for them or something lavish to be done but do they mean whatever little they do ?? hmm dont kw...

what do Roses mean to you?? why is it that for Valentines Roses are always out for sale in large numbers ?? only bz they are attractive to eyes?? or bz they have beautiful smell and have the colour of Love so called " red " .........

Somebody told me that a relationship is most comfortable when two people are friends first and yet we ignore the bright and Happy colour like yellow for red ..... is romance the only thing that love needs ??? i dont really feel so ........love definitely has space for romance but before that its essential that the most importance things already be present in relationships and that is what i feel Sunflowers represent ....

 So thats why i object when only Roses are said to be Flowers of love........ :)

For a person like me I should say i like Sunflower bz there's some added meaning to it. Giving and gifting  something meaningless or something that everyone gives is nothing creative and big time BORE ..... infact i say Sunflowers are a blessing in disguise for all lovers :) why so i have reasons for you lets see if after this you feel like rejecting Sunflowers 

- In days when you are about to propose somebody for the 1st time and you have butterflies in your stomach fear of rejection and you still just want even after a NO,  he/she still remains a friend then Gift Sunflowers - why so??   yellow is a very happy colour and ofcourse the colour of friendship so even if your hidden love says NO to you he / she will still be happy about your thoughfullness about Sunflowers and when you reveal its meaning will be something very impressive to him/her....why not give it a try?

- ahh now when these days every round the corner there's lot of moral policing may b carrying roses on V'day can make you get in some trouble so why not cheer up carring Sunflowers :) its not always about love Why not cheer up a friend or an elder of your's??  USE for good causes  :)

- ofcourse most important Sunflowers Fit in your budget and cheaper than roses :) you dont need to hunt for some good breed sunflowers just a few of them is enough to make someone feel good.

- and take this chance compliment a girl saying " you look as Bright and Happy as these Sunflowers " something new to compliment her and a compliment she can trust on, most girls dont buy compliments like you look as beautiful as a rose (why bz well they also kw the truth )  but looking bright and happy has no day and girls know they can look cute and happy like Sunflowers :)

I dont know what Flower you would chose this Valentines Day but one thing is for sure whatever it be your love should be expressed only when you mean it :) be it Roses or Sunflowers ...

So i wont let the beauties Fight but i still feel SUN AND SUNFLOWERS MAKE BEST COUPLE for today and for centuries coming.......

Being Single...

The idea of Being Single is attributed directly to the the idea of bachelor hood and the fun intrigued into it ...

The Span of life is alone & long and not always so easy to be spent without a partner in hand, the ideology or frame work of any society has been to give certain means to people to befriend and attach themselves to partners of their desire and help human beings strengthen the bonds in society.

From Social networking sites to marriage sites to numerous others are busy connecting people in the means and mechanism of making new bonds .. and cashing in on behalf of them. Services in todays world have gone more target oriented and forcussed take for eg today marriage alliances can be made based on your taste and liking instead of what your caste or creed is.. whatever it be the idea of being Single in still enticing , excieting and satisfing.

And why not the youth of today is happier enjoying its newly found freedom and career orientation :) " no harm in enjoying the little life " is as they say.... who wants to pair up and take responsibility. Being with Friends and Family has one easy thing you arent held directly responsible for your actions neither does anybody care doing things at own free will and most important of all in free owned timings. But that doesnt make youngsters sacrifice anything nor do they bother about being chaste. New generation has definitely found new ways to mate and so has the world seen new terms coined in like "live-in's" , "short term dating" etc...(fight for what these relationships are and how to define them is still on)
Many more that can convince you that being Single is worth going for...

But is it so??
Always so easy and simple going to be a single?? Not always .... my friend Anjali(name changed) doesnt believe the same .... she has her own reasons for being happily married(mother of a kid) and for not being so Single :) ...
"If being in life is all about enjoying someone and willing to give away anything to a relationship what have you gained out of it?? " Anjali says.
"Marriage and love has made me feel whole and complete i know it would have been possible to still live life like a bachelor spending hours to work returning exhausted at home spending my money only on my own self shopping out freaking with bf's etc etc long gooes the list but still at the end of the day loving the man i know i have for my lifetime is something else the stability and satisfaction derived from it is immense ...my family is my life now Fun of being single is there true but not constant for sure" and she ends with a giggle :)
Well she has her own reasons and true to her ....

Society has some rules laid and meant to be followed.. its a matter of choice to follow them or not since the rules made then where made as per general consensus and not as per an individual and apart ways then where much more differenet than ways now. There may be some set of ppl who would find Family life calm and peaceful and more attractive while there may be some who find the rush and haste life more alluring ...

whatever it may be as goes the saying "there's always two sides of same coin" so has this You may chose any one of them ..... Life's Open to new ideas be it Singularity or not just one last thing i wanna end with is remember..

"Everything in this Universe exists in pairs from atoms to matter to living beings to organism to elements ...if there's something thats Acid there will always be a Base ready to neutalise it.... Who knows when you find your Pair and change your idea :) "

Kids are most clear and simplified in their thoughts, know what people say they are inspired by so and so person but its best to get inspired in real terms from kids truly we all are so grown ups that we hardly have time and energy to look and understand the simple concepts of our own feelings... we add tough words more vocab we call it impressive but they all are lifeless ... see these kids so simply and wo wonderfully have they explained what LIFE and LOVE is all about :) thats their innocense...

So if this Valentine's Day you want to tell someone how much you Love him/her be simple and honest that touch's heart more than any other thing :)

Honesty Still works Atleast in the World of LOVE :) .....
